As Da Nang was only about 40 minutes away from Hoi An we decided to take a day trip to the Ba Na Hills where ‘Sunworld’ was. The Ba Na Hills are really popular but we only ended up spending the morning there - It was definitely an attraction for the Chinese and just far too touristy for me. Anyway like with anything when you travel you live and learn!
We took a cable car up the mountain which is where most of the attractions were. There were some beautiful flower gardens, sculptures and bridges but the whole place was a bit strange! It was built as if it was meant to be a French village in the mountains. But obviously we are in Vietnam so it didn’t make a huge amount of sense to me... there was also some rollercoasters, but I didn’t go on these. I guess it was an interesting place to visit but I wouldn’t go back or really recommend any one else did!
My next post will be all about the sleeper train to Nha Trang and visiting Da Lat and Mui Ne!
