The last Island I was visiting in the Philippines is called Boracay which I flew to from Cebu. It was a pretty long travel day from Bohol to get there - I took a taxi, ferry, taxi, bus, flight, taxi, ferry and another taxi! By the time I got to Boracay I’d been travelling for over 8 hours and I was in much need of a drink! It was actually Valentine’s Day so me and a friend had a girls night out which was really fun!
The next 2 days were just spent relaxing on the beach and enjoying the last 2 days I have left in the Philippines. The beach in Boracay is called White Beach and it’s probably one of the nicest beaches I’ve been to so far in the Philippines... I guess I saved the best till last!
Boracay is probably also the busiest island I’ve visited in the Philippines, in fact last year they actually shut the island down for 6 months to tourists to allow the island to recover and to do a large beach and sea clear up.
Both days I walked all the way to the end of the beach and managed to find some quiet spots with not many people around. Perfect for a relaxing few days!
I’m not really sure how 4 weeks here has gone by so quickly but it’s been amazing! My next stop is Hong Kong, so my next post will be all about that!
